Karnataka Police exam scam: Father of candidate ranked 45th paid agent Rs 50L in 2 instalments, says

The father of a BSc graduate from Karnataka’s Kalaburagi region paid Rs 50 lakh to ensure that his son scores high marks in the October 2021 police Sub-Inspector recruitment exam, the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) investigation has revealed.


Based on the questioning of a key agent in the police exam scam, Rudragouda D Patil, alias R D Patil, and his auditor Chandrakant Kulkarni, the CID has found that Sharnappa R, the father of candidate Prabhu S, allegedly paid Patil Rs 50 lakh.
